Client stories

What sponsors say after scorecard reviews, framework design, and quarterly cadence sessions — including the friction that came with the work.

“We came in with twelve overlapping release metrics and left with four that the squads actually check every Friday. The workshop was dense — almost too much for one afternoon — but the follow-up notes made the cut clear.”
Helen Cartwright
Engineering Manager, Birmingham retail platform
Engagement: KPI Framework Design
“Our product and operations leads finally agreed on what 'healthy' meant for the booking app. The scorecard review exposed vanity numbers we had defended for years.”
Marcus Okonkwo
Head of Applications, Midlands logistics firm
Engagement: Application Health Scorecard Review
“I was sceptical about another metrics exercise. What changed my mind was the quiet insistence on measurement that teams could collect without a new reporting tool.”
Priya Nair
Delivery Lead, public-sector digital team
Engagement: Metrics Baseline Workshop
“Quarterly cadence sessions keep us honest. We still argue about lead-time targets, but at least we argue with shared definitions.”

Extended story: retail booking app scorecard

A Birmingham retail platform team arrived with twelve release metrics, three unofficial spreadsheets, and a weekly meeting that rarely finished on time. During KPI Framework Design we mapped every chart to a decision — cutover readiness, hotfix capacity, or backlog priority — and retired eight measures that informed none of those choices.

The remaining four KPIs (lead time from ready to production, change failure rate, P1 incident hours, and feature adoption at fourteen days) were assigned owners. The first facilitated review still ran long; the second finished early because the definitions were already settled. Helen Cartwright later noted the workshop density was “almost too much for one afternoon,” which is fair — we now split that content across two shorter sessions when calendars allow.
