KPI Framework Design
A facilitated engagement that produces a signed-off application analytics scorecard, KPI definitions, and a first review meeting with your application teams.
Application teams rarely suffer from a shortage of charts. They struggle when lead time, change failure rate, incident volume, and feature adoption are defined differently by every stakeholder. KPI Framework Design is our flagship engagement for organisations that want application analytics they can defend in planning meetings and portfolio reviews.
Who it is for
We work with application teams that already ship software and already collect some operational data. Typical sponsors are engineering managers in the West Midlands and wider United Kingdom who need product and delivery leads to stop arguing about which number “counts.”
How the engagement runs
Week one centres on discovery: who owns each application, what decisions the scorecard must support, and which measures already exist. Weeks two and three are workshops — often half-days on-site — where we cut vanity metrics, write plain-language definitions, and assign collection ownership. The final stretch produces the signed scorecard and a facilitated first review so the cadence is practised, not theoretical.
What you leave with
You leave with a concise scorecard (usually four to seven KPIs), definition cards for each measure, a recommended review rhythm, and notes on what was deliberately left out. We do not replace your existing instrumentation; we make the numbers you already gather meaningful for application-team decisions.
